It would be helpful to clarify the opinions noted above are not that of the Wall Street Journal editorial staff but are contained in a piece written by Arthur Laffer, chairman of Laffer Associates and co-author of "The End of Prosperity: How Higher Taxes Will Doom the Economy -- If We Let It Happen" (Threshold, 2008).
And somehow nuclear proponents always forget to calculate the carbon footprint of all the heavy vehicles and equipment used over a period of decades to mine & mill uranium.

Coal leaves a bigger carbon footprint than nuclear power. Nuclear energy emits zero CO2.
